Overview

In every national, regional or international administration, new organisations are created to meet new challenges. Often these new bodies have a high political profile, an urgent mission to undertake and significant public pressure to fulfil their mandate. There is seldom sufficient time or resources to build the internal mechanisms that every organisation needs to run effectively. This programme will, through case studies, visits and syndicate exercises, explore these issues and progressively build up a toolkit to help create new, effective and accountable organisations. These tools and guidelines can be used in government, not-for-profit agencies and the private sector to support better resource utilisation, service delivery and evidence-based decision-making in the early stage of any organisation’s life
