Terms & Conditions of Enrolment
(Full & Part time Students)
Capital College UK provides an equal and nurturing learning environment for Professional, Corporate and Personal development. This requires that students and staff work together to ensure that all policies are respected and all agreements honoured.
Enrolment Identification Applications must include 2 passport-sized photographs.
FINANCIAL MATTERS
§ DEPOSIT: A deposit constitutes a binding and legal agreement and is non-refundable. A minimum of 50% of the course fee is payable as deposit. This includes a £100 registration fee
§ FEES: All payment to the College must be made in GBP (Great Britain Pound) Sterling by Banker’s Draft
§ STUDY MANUALS: Students must purchase their own course book. This may be available through the College
§ REFUNDS: These are only available in the unlikely event that classes are cancelled. If a visa application is unsuccessful, specific evidence must be provided (see relevant section below)
§ WITHDRAWALS: Withdrawal from the College does not automatically effect a refund. Refund is subject to certain conditions:
§ For Visa Students with authorisation to study in the UK – refunds for withdrawals are not permissible.
§ For visa students refused a Visa to study in the UK:
(i) Refunds are possible if the reason for refusal is acceptable as valid by the College, in which case, if the Academic Year has already begun, there will be a pro-rata refund (based on 9 months of study). A full refund will be granted if the academic year has yet to begin
(ii) 15% administration costs and the £100.00 enrolment fee will be deducted from any refunds
§ Administration costs will be levied for letters regarding confirmation of attendance, attitude and behaviour and other related matters
LEARNING AND QUALIFICATION
§ Students are responsible for ensuring that:
(i) they submit their registration for professional examinations before the deadline date
(ii) the documentation they provide on enrolment is valid and adequate
(iii) the course on which they have enrolled is suitable for their requirements.
STUDENT CARE
Students are supported and guided throughout their stay with us. Students are encouraged to communicate with specific members of staff as contact points for addressing their issues.
§ Withdrawal from course: Students wishing to withdraw MUST discuss this with the designated member of staff
§ Change of Course: Students wishing to change their course MUST first discuss and agree this with the designated member of staff
§ Attendance: A minimum of 85% attendance is required on all courses. Student attendance will be monitored on a weekly basis and aggregate basis. Failure to attend as required will result in the College informing the relevant immigration authorities
§ Conduct and Discipline: No student must behave in a manner that inhibits the learning of other students, causes loss or damage to College property, intimidates, threatens, harasses other students, disrupts the proper activities of the College, or in any way, acts detrimentally to the College’s interests or reputation. Any student who behaves in such a way risk suspension or even expulsion from the College, in addition to any legal action that may be taken by anyone adversely affected by such student’s acts
Capital College UK is an inclusive and equal opportunity provider with strong commitment to student success and appropriate behaviour. Students who do not comply with our rules and guidance for acceptable behaviour will be subject to disciplinary action. This includes informing the immigration authorities and supported affected students in taking legal action. Students MUST ensure that they comply with all Capital College UK’s Health and Safety measures and procedures. Failure to do so can place others at risk and will lead to disciplinary action.
§ Immigration: Overseas students must comply with the Immigration Rules of the United Kingdom
