These include offices, hospitals, schools, prisons, defence establishments, airports, vehicles, equipment, and materials. The effective management of these expensive assets and their effective deployment in support of Government priorities is a vital factor in achieving high performance and value for money. This RIPA course is designed to equip delegates with the skills and knowledge to instigate and maintain high-quality asset management.

Course content
During the course delegates will:

· Be provided with the knowledge and skill sets to initiate, develop and inform effective asset management;
· Develop an understanding of the importance of asset management in its widest sense; Identify the data, systems, professional and administrative strategies and resources that need to be put in place and the best ways of securing them in their own environment;
· Develop knowledge and skill sets to gather the core information needed to inform asset management strategies and action plans;
· Develop a toolkit for the preparation and delivery of Asset Management Plans;
· Prepare personal Action Plans to be implemented on their return to the workplace
